The Opportunity:

The Account Director, Programmatic role will be fully focused on helping Aniview strategize, manage and ultimately drive revenue growth through our SSP/DSP/DMP partners. As an expert in SSP/DSP/DMP structures, you’ll be dedicated to maintaining clean and well documented systems as well as troubleshooting any and all programmatic issues as they arise. You understand and keep up to speed on the industry and know how valuable a best-in-class ad stack is for Aniview’s clients. You understand the balance between client needs, technology capabilities and how they align with our strategic direction. You’ll bring your A-game to a small but growing department at Aniview and use your expert voice to advocate for the growth and advancement of Aniview’s strategy cross-departmentally as well as with the executive team.

Responsibilities:

  • Curate and execute PG/PMP/NGP and open market programmatic strategies.
  • You’ll have ownership of this activity under the Aniview Marketplace division, and collaborate with Sales, Adops, Product and any relevant division within Aniview.
  • Work closely with the VP Monetization to ensure alignment on overall yield strategy; there is give and take between our direct and programmatic teams that will flourish with deep collaboration.
  • Optimize and continually stay ahead of the curve on our header bidding strategy
  • Determine the best strategies and support your conclusions with data and industry backing.
  • Collaborate with core programmatic team members
  • Foster deep and strategic relationships with our SSPs, DSPs, DMPs, and other core external stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Ad Product Manager as an in depth stakeholder of Ad Product initiatives, including but not limited to providing/developing technical recommendations, business cases, scoping our reporting requirements, and in help execution of the product
  • Work closely with other Revenue + Monetization team members to understand the dynamic nature of our platform and partners
  • Manage forecasts related to open bidding and pre-bid fill rate and revenue projections
  • Work closely with the team to ensure we are using best-in-class strategies and are set up optimally to generate the most revenue, this can include but is not limited to working with more than one ad server, different structures or technologies, marketing of the inventory, and strategic content initiatives.
  • Provide the VP, Monetization with sufficient information to speak to the overall health of the platform, current initiatives, industry trends, and anything else that can help optimize overall performance in lay-person terms
  • Work with the development team to troubleshoot any technical issues related to the ad stack
  • Help establish processes, documentation, and structure to the development of yield management and A/B testing within Aniview
  • Manage and negotiate partnerships with selected technology partners
  • Be deeply invested in finding the balance between end user experience and optimal revenue to improve the overall value of Aniview’s Inventory
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, communicate clearly with the team what you understand to be large drivers in the industry that we should be planning for

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in revenue operations, ad operations, and/or programmatic yield optimization, specifically focused on strategy and platform evolution, experience specifically in video is a huge bonus
  • 3+ years of experience managing small teams
  • 3+ years of experience managing SSPs, DSPs, and/or DMPs, you come with solid connections
  • Operationally minded – agile or other structured, process-oriented style an asset
  • Relentless and curious in your pursuit of excellence
  • Ability to translate business and technical requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
  • Use data analytics to proactively identify optimization opportunities, underlying issues, and problems within a dynamic ad environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to support the team and help where/when needed – a hands-on approach.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, Other Ad Servers, Google DataStudio, Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Ability to work remotely and self-start an operation using the company knowledge and resources.
  • Proactivity and constant push for action – internally and externally
  • Ability to fly domestically to events/meetings
